EAMS Support for Airway Meetings
EAMS may be able to approve or support a local, regional or national scientific meeting dedicated to airway management. There is a standard application form which should be downloaded and returned to the Treasurer.
Within the form two specific definitions are used;
Approval
EAMS checks the structure, content and contributors to the program for appropriateness with the scientific and educational scopes of the Society, eventually makes suggestions to modify the program and finally agrees/declines the approval. When approved, the Logo of the EAMS and a declaration of approval have to be inserted into all printed and published material about the meeting (e.g. flyers, leaflets, posters, abstract books, web pages).
Support
EAMS supports a local/regional/national airway meeting by checking the structure, content and contributors to the suggested program of the meeting in advance and by eventually offering advice. The EAMS also can send international experts (1 or more) to give lectures and to participate at the meeting. By doing this, the EAMS usually covers the travel expenses of these delegates to the next local international airport. Further transfers and accommodation should be provided by the hosting party. Any kind of support can be only offered if the scientific program of the meeting has been approved by the EAMS.
