There are 3 categories of Membership

Active Member.
Medical doctors who have completed an accredited anaesthesia training programme, or who are certified in another specialty, who are licensed to practice medicine and who reside in a European Country.

Affiliate Member.
Non-physicians working in anaesthesiology-related areas (e.g scientist interested in anaesthesiology, nurses or technical personnel working in clinical anaesthesia or intensive care medicine, technical personnel involved in development and manufacturing of airway management related equipment), or a certified anaesthesiologist, physician, scientist or non-physician who resides outside Europe.

Trainee Member.
A physician in full-time training in a medical department in an accredited training programme.

Membership Fee
Active and Affiliate 50 Euros per year
Trainee Free whilst in training

Members residing in former 'Eastern Bloc' countries may be entitled to a reduced subscription of 30 Euros at the discretion of the Treasurer.

Payment of Membership Fees

Membership fees are due for the actual calendar year until end of June.

There are actually three possible transfer modalities :

1. Bank transfer
You can pay by electronic bank transfer. Please contact the EAMS Treasurer to receive the IBAN and BIC details of the EAMS account.

Please advise your bank that EAMS should NOT cover the transfer costs to enable receipt of the complete amount. It is absolutely essential to include into the payment order your membership number. Otherwise your payment cannot be assigned to your personal file.

2. Cash
You can pay cash at EAMS meetings during the ESA Euroanaesthesia Congress. Please contact the EAMS treasurer in charge during the EAMS meetings.

3. PayPal

You can pay using PayPal www.paypal.com. This is safe and cheap (5.00 Eur). Please contact the EAMS treasurer in charge by e-mail EAMS Treasurer for membership fee request by PayPal.

How to Join

1. Complete electronic application form and submit to EAMS

2. EAMS will contact you by e-mail to confirm successful application, give you a membership number, send details of appropriate annual subscription and details of EAMS bank account. Trainee members will be sent a form to be counter-signed by the Head of Department verifying their trainee status.

3. EAMS bank account is a Euro account in Switzerland. If you send money please use your membership number as a reference.

4. The EAMS account is identified throughout Europe by the account name, IBAN and BIC codes. The Treasurer can let you know the details.

5. There may be bank charges and, if you don't have a Euro account, currency conversion charges as well. Please check.

6. If you are coming to an EAMS meeting, you can pay the Treasurer or Secretary direct in Euros.

The Treasurer may be able to organise a cheaper, safe and easy transfer.

Manual application
1] Contact the Treasurer, Dr Markus Weiss, by e-mail asking for a copy of the application form. Complete the form and send it back by e-mail, fax, normal post or hand it to him at a meeting.
2] Markus Weiss will reply giving you a Membership Number and details of how to pay the subscription.
3] Please use the Membership Number when you pay the subscription otherwise your payment may not be recorded accurately.
